The Red and Pink Azaleas of Mize Azalea Garden in Historic Nacogdoches

Stephen F. Austin University students stroll through the red and pink azaleas of garden bed #25, First Natives, near a small decorative wooden bridge that points to the Setsugekka Island group of plants in Mize Azalea Garden. The First Natives garden bed was planted in 1998 and includes the "Confederate" and "Pastel" series of hybrid azaleas. Here also are the intricately shaped and dazzling-showy colors of the "Tipsy Tangerine" and "High Tide" azaleas.
