A Painting at the 7th Street Restaurant in Downtown Cushing, Texas in Historic Nacogdoches County

The view in this painting which hangs on the Wall of the 7th Street Cafe looks South on the main
block of Buildings in Cushing, Texas that were constructed around 1911. The "Cushing National Bank"
Sign on the first building at right was painted there to accommodate scenery for a TV movie filmed in
Cushing in the 1970's called "The Long Summer of George Adams" starring James Garner and was not
the original bank building at all. This building was once the location of Jackon's Cafe, Jess Fenton's Cafe,
Bowden Clinic, Clifford Whitaker Drygoods, The Masonic Lodge and others.(sources18)
