The First Methodist Church of Cushing, Texas in Historic Nacogdoches County


The First Methodist Church of Cushing, Texas was founded in 1903 with Rev. Major Isiah Brown as Minister.
In 1949 this new Building was constructed at 608 Eucalyptus Avenue with R. L. Peacock as Minister. In 1958
a Fellowship Hall and Kitchen were added to the main building and in 2003 a Memorial Garden was erected on
the west as a Memorial to the Founders of the Church. The Cornerstone reads as follows:
